- RRFC Ladies
Full name: Tara Georgia Janusz
Job: I’m currently studying health professions and human sciences in the hope of entering the paramedics.
Rugby position: Prop or hooker.
Years played for RRFC: This is my first season.
Age started playing rugby & why: I was 12, my dad always played rugby so was always throwing a ball about but it wasn’t until my PE teacher recommended joining a team and informed me that Chinnor had a girls team that I really started playing.
Which premiership team do you support: Wasps, my dad used to take me to the ground all the time to watch matches.
Rugby hero & why: Maggie Alphonsi. She was a massive influence when I was younger, she would visit camps encouraging women and girls to get involved in rugby and look where women’s rugby is today compared to back then…
Best thing about playing for RRFC: Same answer as everyone else…the team itself, they have been so encouraging and welcoming. People may be nervous about joining a team with or without any previous experience but 3 of us do the school run together so it just goes to show that it really is for anyone. The social side is a massive bonus and I have made genuine new friends.
