Pitch Bar Manager
Create a Great Matchday Experience
Risborough Rugby Club is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Pitch Bar Manager to oversee the operation of our popular pitch side bar on matchdays and at club events.
This volunteer role is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in the club's matchday atmosphere while helping generate valuable income that supports the growth of our rugby programme. You'll work alongside a team of volunteers to provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for players, supporters, sponsors and visiting clubs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the operation of the pitch bar during home matchdays and club events.
Recruit, organise and support a team of bar volunteers.
Ensure excellent customer service for members and visitors.
Manage stock levels, ordering and storage of drinks and refreshments.
Set up and close down the bar before and after each event.
Handle cash and card transactions in accordance with club procedures.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
Work with the committee to maximise matchday revenue through promotions and special events.
Help create a welcoming and vibrant matchday atmosphere that encourages members and supporters to stay and socialise.
We're Looking For Someone Who
Is organised, reliable and enjoys working with people.
Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
Can lead and motivate a team of volunteers.
Has experience in hospitality, retail or event management (desirable but not essential).
Is confident handling stock and cash reconciliation.
Shares our passion for community sport and delivering an outstanding matchday experience.
