Help Shape the Future of Risborough Rugby Club
Risborough Rugby Club is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Head of Youth Rugby to lead and oversee the continued growth of our youth section.
This is a part-time volunteer role, ideal for someone with a passion for rugby, youth development, and building a positive community environment.
About the Role
As Head of Youth Rugby, you will provide leadership and coordination across our youth programme, ensuring every young player has the opportunity to enjoy rugby in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment.
The role includes a regular commitment on Sunday mornings during the rugby season, overseeing all youth rugby activities, supporting coaches, and acting as the main point of contact for the youth section.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all Sunday morning youth rugby activities.
Lead the development and growth of the club's youth section.
Support and mentor coaches and volunteers.
Ensure RFU safeguarding, coaching, and operational standards are maintained.
Work closely with the club committee to deliver the club's long-term youth strategy.
Help recruit and retain players, coaches, and volunteers.
Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for players and families.
Build positive relationships with parents, schools, and the local community.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is
Passionate about developing young people through rugby.
An excellent organiser and communicator.
A positive and approachable leader.
Able to motivate and support volunteers.
Committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment.
Previous coaching or rugby experience is desirable but not essential.
Time Commitment
Sunday mornings during the rugby season.
Occasional committee meetings and planning sessions.
Flexible additional time to support club development where possible.
